A Beautiful Day
The sun was shining and everyone in NYC was out enjoying the beautiful day in the park. Auntie Amanda came to visit us while Daddy was in France this past weekend and we had such an enjoyable time with her on a most picturesque day.
We did not have a digital camera, so to capture our fun we had to settle for disposable cameras, hence the poor picture quality. Despite this very minor setback, we were still able to snap a few cute photos of our fun day.

Potty News
Guess who went pee pee on the potty for the first time EVER and all by himself!!! I was taking a shower this morning when Blake asked me to take off his diaper because he had to go potty. So I took it off, he sat down on his potty and voila, he did it!!! We had hardly even been talking about this either. My little man is growing up so fast! I was sooooo proud of him! A little Starburst topped off this good deed!

Addie Cooing
Enjoy the many sounds and coos of baby Addie. She does this all day long, but as soon as I put the camera up to her, it dwindles. This is a pretty good take though. You can really see her wiggling around too. She is also very close to rolling over for the first time.

FL & NC
We just got back from visiting family in Florida and friends in North Carolina. We went to Florida in search of warmth, but it turns out that it was just as chilly as NYC almost the whole time. Still a wonderful getaway seeing Auntie, Grammie, and Monie and Addie meeting Pop Pop and Grampie for the first time. Our baby girl went on her first plane ride and as expected, did a great job.
While in NC, we saw lots of old friends and Daryl had an interview that went well. It will be fun to see where we finally end up after fellowship when we're in the "real world."
Here are a few of my favorite pictures from our trip.

Lucky!
Two days ago...the day started unlike most others, mommy was up before both little ones at 6:45 to shower and daddy was still not home from work yet. Daddy finally got home at 7am from being up all night long and we then had an hour to get everyone ready for a plane ride that I was sure would not happen because of the “snow hurricane” that was looming. So we were on our way to the airport at 8:20 for our 10:25 flight and got about 10 blocks when I realized I had forgotten my wallet with my license, so we had to turn around. But unbeknownst to us until we had to pay at the end of the ride, there was an extra charge of $10 for making an extra stop, great!
Checking in was quite painless actually, we opted for curbside check-in because of the long ticket line inside. We got through security with no issues after practically stripping down four people! We arrived at the gate and it still stated that our flight was scheduled to leave on time, yet the minutes just kept passing by. We finally boarded the plane about 10:45ish and there we just sat and sat and sat. We patiently waited for our turn to be de-iced. It was almost 1pm when we were finally ready to take off and up into the white, snowy skies we flew. I have to admit, it was a little scary flying into these harsh conditions, but if the FAA says it is ok, I trust them!
We were originally scheduled on a 12:25 flight and the day before we rebooked onto the 10:45 flight in the event that the forecasted weather might affect our travels, luckily we did…when we reached our cruising altitude, the captain came on overhead and told us that we were lucky to take off and most flights were being cancelled for the rest of the day. And boy how lucky I did feel, when up in that plane a memory was created that I will never forget…Addie in my arms, Blake’s head on my lap and daddy looking squished but peaceful in the tiny coach seat, my whole family was sound asleep and all I could do was look at each one of them and thank God for being the luckiest mommy ever!

We're Leaving on a Jet Plane
All our bags are packed (almost) and we're ready to go, but here comes more snow!!! Things may not go as planned, we may become very familiar with LaGuardia Airport...
Tomorrow little Miss Addie will be 12 weeks old and is supposed to be going on her first plane ride. We are headed to Florida to visit Monie, PopPop, Auntie, Grammie and Grampie. Then we fly up to North Carolina next week to visit friends and Daddy has an interview. Blake is now a big boy and will get his own seat on the flight...he keeps talking about how he is going to buckle it all by himself! Now...packing for four people...hmmm, mommy has her work cut out for her, especially since we have no warm weather clothes for either child at this age and mommy can hardly fit into any of her own clothes yet, guess that means only one thing...shopping!
For those of you who have been asking for more pictures of the littlest angel, we promise to take lots while we are out of town.
The other day someone told me that Addie looks like me, I just melted because no one has ever said that. I don't see it, but it still feels good to hear! Just had to share.

Pink Explosion
Daryl says that with the arrival of Adelyn, our house has had a pink explosion of clothes. So I came across a blue dress today. She still looks just as adorable, even when not dressed in pink!

On a separate note, Blake has learned to climb in and out of his crib - oh joy! The first time he climbed in, he turned around and said, "ta da"! Luckily he has not climbed out during sleep times though. He may be in a bed sooner than we had hoped...crazy little monkey!

Happy Valentine's Day!
One day late...but we are still sending our love to all of our friends and family.
So now Daryl has two women in his life to shower with love.
Our wonderful children spoiled us by both falling asleep by 8:30 last night, we think maybe they planned it!
