Cereal Time

Addie is getting to be such a big girl. She joined Mommy and Blake for cereal for the first time. Cereal was everywhere, as was to be expected, and I think she actually enjoyed it a little. Don't you just love her morning 'do.

Boating and Climbing

We are still busy checking things off of our NYC to-do list! On Saturday we spent the evening in the park taking a rowboat ride on the pond, rock climbing and then watching Blake be a monkey as he climbed all over the Alice in Wonderland statue. The new title picture is from our fun night too. Poor little Addie was a little too small for the life jacket!

Our morning

We had nothing planned this morning, but the little stinkers were just so cute so we snapped a few adorable pictures.

Our smiling little ones playing on the bed together.

Our future slugger-little Miss Adelyn.

Hiding Place

Ssshhh...Blake has a new secret hiding place, as he likes to put it! When mommy showers in the morning, Blake plays on our bed under the covers. Little did I know what was hiding under there with him. As we crawled into bed that night, we discovered a baseball and a golf club-shaft and head in two separate pieces to our surprise under the covers!!! Only in our house would there be sports paraphernalia in bed.

Top of The Met

On top of The Metropolitan Museum of Art is a Rooftop Cafe and Bar. There are spectacular views of the city and Central Park. This is something I have always wanted to do since we have lived here. Now that we have only one month left, we are quickly trying to finish up all of the must-see/do before we leave. It was a perfect night to check this off the list!

More Smiley

This is the gorgeous smile I am so blessed to see all day, every day!!!

Gone, But Haven't Forgotten

I have been removed from our blog for quite a while...this is the first weekend in about four weeks that we haven't been out of town and had a big event going on. Although we have had an amazing month, we have also experienced a very sad loss.

Our crazy family-filled event began with a special day for our baby girl, Adelyn's Baptism. Thank you to everyone for making the journey to St. Patrick's Cathedral to share this special day for Addie. And a big special thank you to her godparents, Aunt Christine and Uncle Drew.

The next weekend was Amanda's Bridal Shower in Boston. It was such a beautiful time with friends and family. Amanda was such a gorgeous bride-to-be. My little Addie would not take a bottle, which prevented me from joining the girls for the Bachelorette Party...but that's okay, because I would do anything for my little ones and I know my little sister still had the time of her life (can't wait to see the pole-dancing video)! Look out Bermuda, we will be there in one month for the big day.

We then headed south to say our goodbyes to Pop Pop. This was such a difficult time for our family, but it was so comforting to all be together and remember so many special memories. Our hearts now have a hole with the loss of our beloved Pop Pop (Daryl's father). Thank you for being such a wonderful grandfather, father, friend, road trip warrior, doctor, scientist, and sports enthusiast! We miss and love you so very much!

Sweet Home Alabama...we had just a few extra days left to go look for our future home. The four of us had a whirlwind trip to Birmingham. In two days time we viewed about fifteen homes with a toddler and baby, it was a bit challenging at time, but overall our little ones were troopers. After a VERY long two days and many hours of deliberation, we have finally decided on the last house we viewed. We are SO excited for our upcoming move.

We then headed home with a minor detour up to Connecticut for Laila's (Daryl's niece) First Communion and we also celebrated Mother's Day together. There were five very special mothers there and we were each blessed with having our beautiful families with us. Thank you Daryl for the delicious truffles that were gone in less than three days!

A yummy Mother's Day meal with lots of great mothers

Now on the horizon we have Daryl's graduation from Residency, our big move way down south and Amanda and Tony's wedding...all in the next five weeks. WOW!

Our happy family
